Novi Sad Jazz Festival

The Novi Sad Jazz Festival, organized and curated by the Cultural Center of Novi Sad in collaboration with the City Administration for Culture, has been held successfully since 1997. Thousands of visitors have had the opportunity to hear the biggest names in the world of jazz over the years.



The Novi Sad Jazz Festival, with its high standards of content, including the main concert program, workshops, exhibitions, jazz meetings, video information, and jam sessions, is highly ranked on the map of European jazz festivals. It has become a sought-after destination for the most eminent musicians from our country, Europe, and the world, as well as for an audience that continues to grow, coming from both nearby and distant cities.The uniqueness of this international festival lies in its focus on presenting primarily original music. The main program features the most successful domestic jazz ensembles and the most prestigious names from the global jazz scene.Igor Django Molnar served as the artistic director of this prestigious festival from 1997 to 1999. Since 2002, he has worked on organizational tasks, as a musician in the session house band, and as a coordinator between the Isidor Bajić Music School and the Novi Sad Jazz Festival, organizing visits and workshops for students from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. Some of the participants have, over time, become collaborators in the realization of this festival.
